Brian Sheppard, M.S., LPC, NCC
Director
Brian Sheppard is Director of the Family Counseling Center. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor specializing in marriage and premarital counseling, family issues, and grief counseling. He earned his Master of Science in Counseling in 1990 from The University of Memphis and holds degrees from Saint Leo University and Ohio Valley University. Since 2004 Brian has provided counseling and family services at Hendersonville Church of Christ. He established the Family Counseling Center in 2019.
Brian is a native of West Virginia and enjoys spending time outdoors. He and his wife, Amy, have two adult children and four grandchildren.

Leanne Hayes, M.S.S.W., LCSW
Counselor
Leanne Hayes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10+ years of experience in the mental health field. She earned a Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Social Work at Harding University. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families and helping people work toward positive change.
Using the creative processes of play and art activities, Leanne assists with building emotional awareness, healthy coping and problem-solving skills, and increasing self-esteem and social skills. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has experience treating trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. She strives to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment for working through problems.
Leanne has experience working in the foster care system and with adoptions. She and her husband are blessed to be parents through adoption, and she enjoys working with adoptive families and individuals dealing with infertility.

Cecilia Hatley
Office Manager
Carolyn was born and raised in northern Illinois. She has 35 years of experience in a variety of professional office settings, including three years in the Family Counseling Center and 15 years in the Church Office at Hendersonville. She is a graduate of Florida College and attended Northern Illinois University.
She and her husband, Jim, have been Hendersonville residents since 1989. They have one son, Ben, who passed away in 2016. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys reading, outdoor dining at just about any restaurant, and the Nashville Predators.
